Has anyone got pics / video of their shoecam setup. Would love to see how a pro does it. I've been considering making one for quite some time. But my earlier attempts have been horribly flawed, need some expert guidance with this I think.

Easy as can be:
Buy a12 volt wired pinhole camera
Buy a small DVR like an archos.( I have an older ARCHOS 340)
Buy a 12 volt battery pack.
Run a video line and power line up your pants leg. In one back pocket put the battery pack(size of small wallet) and put the DVR in your front pocket
I mount the camera in the shoe and I use a black butal tape(can use clear 2sided sticky tape as well) and I make a small hole in the top of the shoe. So basically the cam is sitting on top of my toes.

Just find pair of shoes that are dark in color(black) and the hole will be less noticable

This year i'll try a new set up since my one last summer was a bit too conspicuous. I'm too lazy to have separate power and record aspects so that my lens is really small. However, that set up is pretty failsafe as far as arousing suspicion. I just use the smallest dig camera w/ decent video capabilities that I can find and affix it to my shoe in a way that I can somewhat easily turn it off and on. The trick for me is in the pants that shield it from public view. Exercise or warm up pants, the baggier at the feet the better, maybe even some with ankle zips. So that it looks like you're just hip hoppin' it all out rather than taking video.

However, even getting all hip hopped out is probably not as safe as the afo mentioned method. You try to get your two shoes to look identical with the pants in place, but...well sometimes it just doesn't look right if you study it in a mirror. For streetfests, outdoor markets, sporting events and the like the commotion works to your advantage.

I would not use this method inside of any store, etc. property.

Incidentally, does anyone know how/if the laws for this type of activity change or are applied if you do this upskirt shit on the public way vs. on someone's property?

I think the new Gumcam will work great for that,, you need the higher fps versions, 20fps - 30fps but I tried it earlier and it would be very easy to hide under shoe laces on a black traner or shoe and has the major advantage of being a self-contained DVR and camera. It's not field tested, but in theory a goiod option.
