Default can the 808 cams charge and record at the same time?

i'm having trouble with my 808 #16. it's hooked up to a portable battery pack but it still only records less than an hour before it turns off. i can't tell if it's charging or not while recording because it has the orange recording light blinking instead of the red charging light. i think the cam is defective because it also doesn't charge very well. gotta wiggle the cord around for it to start charging.

actually now there's a new problem. it'll record fine on its own, but right when i plug in the battery pack the cam will just shut off. no red light showing it's charging or anything.

not sure if its the same cam as me but when I plug my battery pack into the camera it automatically starts recording. The light comes on and blinks red then goes off and it will record for 6 1/2 hours.

I take this agreement seriously and I refuse to trade with folks who don't.

Check the settings, also cable is sometimes responsable of some the problems
