Default Cant figure out motion detect recording on the 808 #16

Ive been messing with the 808 for a few days and cant get it figured out. I know how to turn on motion detect, but the cam does a few 2 minute videos in a row and then turns itself off. Is there something in the settings im supposed to be doing? Or if anyone has their settings right, if you could copy and paste them here thatd be great too. Missed out on an insane opportunity a few days ago and wanna get this thing perfect now.

If you do some google search on "808 #16 fails" or something brings you up a lot of infos. The RC car or plane guys seem to be the best experts there.

no, just the built in battery. i also tried disabling auto shut off in the settings but then it just records and records until the battery dies even if there's nothing moving.

You may have gotten one of those "death on arrival ... bad luck" on those mass products cheapies. Buy another and see how it goes there. I have had some mess with those buggers as well - they could get you mad. Especially as you may have the perfect opportunity! You always got to have some spare ones.

some cameras come with this problem, try setting motion sensitivity to low. if it keeps on doing that u will either try to deal with that or buy a new camera... i once posted a threat about this problem at end of each set up I had to deal with hundreds of clips!

I have three #16s and I can't get motion detection to work on any of them. I gave up and bought a 32gb card and an external battery and just set it to loop record. It will do about 12 hours of recording
